SIR – I attended the matinee of the musical Annie, with my grand-daughter, on Saturday. I was a bit dubious about going, with the warnings about the protests, but I am glad we went.
The cast was wonderful, especially Su Pollard as Miss Hannigan. The children, playing the orphans, were really talented, their parents should be very proud of them.
I can’t understand the coach companies agreeing to bring in protesters from other areas of the country. Why don’t they protest in their own towns, instead of coming to Bradford to try to incite trouble?
They must have lost local businesses a lot of revenue.
