Will any Green Belt land be left?

SIR - So yet another nail goes into the Bradford coffin, with the build at any cost' mentality of Bradford Council regarding the destruction of West Bowling Golf Club.

The Unitary Development Policy says we must have more industrial units at the side of the M606, regardless of the fact a big percentage of the units already built lay empty.

What a sight for any visitors to Bradford, row upon row of empty industrial units just like we see at the end of any motorway up and down the country.

Why can't we buck the trend and greet visitors with Green Belt land instead of bland concrete and steel clad monstrosities?

I was born and bred in West Bowling and it is criminal to see all the green belt land disappear in the so-called name of progress. When does it all end? When we meet up with Cleckheaton and Leeds and wonder what a field looks like?

I wonder if there are any councillors out there who voted for this vandalism who would have a wager with me that five years after they have built the units, at least a third will be empty.
