SIR – As a born-and-bred Bradfordian, it is annoying to hear “we are going shopping in Leeds”. How do we entice people at large to come and shop in Bradford?
Could I humbly suggest that Bradford uses the site of the Odeon and police station for a massive, free car park (with a time limit of, say, four hours).
This appears to work at the Forster Square retail park where one often has to queue for a space.
Bradford needs to entice the big shops back!
