SIR – Gordon of Westminster is under siege and I cannot see him lasting ten months like Gordon of Khartoum. I do not believe that Gordon Brown will be brave enough to face a General Election at any time, and will simply find a ‘ good reason’ to retreat, with Alan Johnson replacing him.
