SIR – How farcical that Councillor Ian Greenwood feels able to criticise the successful Marks & Spencer company over how it is being run.

Here is a local Labour councillor who has taken his bat home so many times in recent years. Before attempting to attack other concerns, perhaps he would do better to look at how he himself has acted these past few years.

A new look at the local Labour hierarchy, with a much more appropriate leader, would be a good start.
