SIR - One way to diminish the incidence of tooth decay is to put fluoride in tiny quantities into the water supply.
Unfortunately in some areas an anti-fluoridation brigade has put a stop to this on the strength that the authorities should not compulsorily medicate the whole population with the result as reported (City ‘still facing tooth care crisis’, September 26).
I don’t know if Yorkshire Water or specifically Bradford fluoridates its water supply– it could be ascertained. If it does not do so, I would urge it so to do.
