School's sad plight
SIR – Once again the T&A highlights the plight of Belle Vue Boys School, a once first-class grammar school founded in 1877 in Manningham Lane, with an eminent literary ex pupil J B Priestley to whom a statue exists adjacent to the Photo/Film Museum and library. A sad reflection on present times. From the sublime to ridiculous. I wonder what he might say if he could speak?
