SIR - Unlike your correspondents who think Bradford Council is as much use as a chocolate fireguard, I remember when they loaned the developers of the Southgate Complex £6 million, which was repaid with interest after only ten months, enabling them to finish building a new imposing Provident Finance HQ and the top class Jurys Hotel.
Then they invested millions in City Park, which has proved to be a tremendous success attracting tens of thousands of residents and visitors to attend award winning events.
So after becoming owners of the dilapidated Odeon, I feel sure our city fathers will make the right decision in November as to who should restore the icon back to its former glory.
