SIR – Back in the 1930s a dangerous fool said much the same about the Jewish Nation as George Galloway. He found enough idiots and cohorts to support him and it resulted in the deaths of millions.

Can you imagine the protests and riots that would take place if someone had said the same thing about Muslims at a public meeting?

The public support for all things Gaza and Palestine by our council only serves to give him a false cloak of credibility.

I used to think George Galloway was driven just by ego but surely people could be forgiven for thinking his latest comments sound like those of a dangerous bigot?

The only positive is that he is, hopefully, soon likely to move on to pastures new.
