SIR – I have written to the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner to state that I am disgusted with George Galloway’s bigotry concerning Israel and the Palestinians.

I accept that he has his own opinions but he should not inflict them onto other people and should not speak for the people of Bradford as not everyone is bigoted and ready to “have a go” at others.

We live in a multi-cultural society and as such we should accept all people no matter what country or religion they are from. In his position he should be leading the way to accept other people no matter who they are.

I believe that we should not make judgements unless we have “seen both sides of the story”. I would advocate Mr Galloway goes to Gaza and Israel and spends time with both sides.

With the world in such a state we should be trying to live in harmony and be good to each other, not shouting about who is right and who is wrong and whether we should ban people from certain places. In essence we should be helping each other to live in a very difficult world.
