SIR - I am bewildered by developments at Eccleshill Treatment Centre and the rise in waiting times for treatments highlighted in Saturday’s T&A.
If waiting times have risen to a six-year high, where is the sense in closing down a well-loved local medical resource?
Surely, closing down the Treatment Centre can only add to waiting lists growing and add pressure to Bradford Teaching Hospitals?
My understanding was that David Ward had assured readers that the Treatment Centre was to remain open, so why have all the staff been made redundant?
James Slater initiated a campaign and received 3,500 signatures on his petition.
I have been told that David Ward on his website, accused Eccleshill Labour Party of scaremongering, and accused them of initiating the petition, yet James assures me that the petition was entirely his own initiative.
David Ward has let down staff and patients and has failed to properly represent his constituents and is playing politics instead of doing his job.
