SIR – Re: your article “Protesters call for Palestine ‘justice’” (T&A, July 14), Mr Galloway MP and the protesters could have saved themselves the trouble of protesting by advising Hamas to take the very easy action of stopping sending rockets into Israel and, if so, I suggest that Israel will not take any adverse action against Gaza.

These rockets are dispatched indiscriminately vaguely in the direction of populated areas. Any protest should be directed against Hamas.

It should also be remembered that it is written into the constitution of Hamas that Israel should be destroyed, forgetting, inter alia, that Israel supplies Gaza with their utilities.
