SIR – Re the story about Garry Gledhill’s parking fine (T&A, April 7), I am in total agreement with him about the parking at BRI.

It got that bad that when my partner was having treatment for cancer I used to park my car in the Girlington Morrisons car park and walk to the BRI from there.

Why can’t the land at the top of Squire Lane that used to be the Springfield Centre and used to belong to Social Services, be a permanent or temporary car park for visitors to the BRI?
