SIR – I read that Bradford Council is planning cuts to school transport and I think – here we go again!
Apparently the cuts are intended to save £95,000 from the next financial year. There is no need for these cuts. Simply call in the £200,000 that was loaned to OK Bulls.
Alternatively just scrap the Waste Recycling Permit Scheme which is currently wasting around £120,000 a year.
Sadly, Bradford Council will take neither solution on board but will continue to mismanage the budget with their usual aplomb.
It’s a sorry state of affairs that we have to put up with a council that is both wasteful and incompetent and quite obviously not fit for purpose.
