No smoke without ire

Drivers paying the penalty

There's been a welcome sight in the last couple of days of yellow penalty notices sprouting on the windscreens of cars parked illegally in the pedestrian zone next to the New Victoria hotel in Bradford city centre, a habit that been allowed to go unpunished for quite a while.

A brewing tradition we should be proud of

Local food and drink is the freshest and best, preferable to the stuff shipped around or stored in chilled warehouses for days or weeks and treated with chemicals. And it is all the rage now with country of origin, food miles and getting reconnected to the land important for many shoppers.

River is a corridor for wildlife
