Sometimes, the shuffle mode on my iPod gets it just right.
My knees may hate me, my shin bones may have gone on strike, but at least this little digital marvel is on my side.
Yesterday, on a short jog, I was treated to Stranger Things Have Happened (Foo Fighters), The Chain (Fleetwood Mac), Viva Las Vegas (Dead Kennedys) and Once A Liar (Buzzkill).
This morning my ears were caressed by, in order, Bowie's Changes, Homelife by Private Dicks, Ghosts' The World Is Outside, Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart by Stone Temple Pilots, Learn To Fly by Foo Fighters, Jigga What/Faint from Collision Course, the Jay Z-Linkin' Park mash-up, the sublime California Uber Alles by The Dead Kennedys and to bring me home, panting and wheezing, She Said Go by Private Dicks.
I couldn't have done a better job myself, but I will claim some of the credit by having put the stuff on there to begin with obviously.
I'm always on the look out for new stuff to listen to, so post your suggestions here and I'll consider all before deciding I know best and roundly ignoring them...
