I'll say it now, Hillary Clinton is history.
Barack Obama will be the first black President of the United States - unless acolytes of the men who organised the political assassinations of John F Kennedy, the Reverend Martin Luther King and
Senator Robert Kennedy decide otherwise.
A long time ago I was told that the political fixers of both the Democratic and Republican Parties were alarmed by the phenomenon of blogging going on across the United States. Insteads of being
talked at by political apparatchiks, ordinary Americans have been exchanging views about what they think and feel.
I think Mr Obama will be the Democratic Party beneficiary - even if the bossy Hillary does better than expected this week in the Texas primary. The presidential contest in November will be between
him and Republican John Cain.
And when Mrs Hillary eventually retreats down the mountain, seething at husband Bill, Mr O will go and and defeat citizen Cain.
And for a while the world will be a better place.
