The other evening there was a bit of excitement on our street when a white stretch limo pulled up outside a neighbour's house. A gaggle of teenage girls in ball-gowns came out, posed for each others' photographs and climbed into the car.

The phantom egger strikes again... and it's still not funny

I sympathise with Joolz Denby who recently fell victim to egg-throwing louts, for I too have suffered at the hands of Bradford's Phantom Eggers. Joolz wrote in a recent blog about someone hurling an egg at her, striking the back of her head.

Grow up, girls

Lily hates Cheryl. Cheryl hates Lily. Cheryl hates Charlotte too. Amy and Lily hated each other but now they're friends again. Lily said everyone thinks she's ugly and cried her eyes out. Cheryl and her gang didn't care, because Lily called them ugly too.

No matter how much of our job could be considered noble, worthy or for the general good of mankind, we end up getting tarred by the same brush as the tabloid hacks widely regarded as the amoebas of pond life among the rich, famous and anyone else who has reason to distrust the red tops.

Why dementia should be at the top of everyone's agenda

The Alzheimer's Society recently revealed that caring for dementia patients costs Britain £17 billion a year - yet the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) is denying drugs costing just £2.50 which could slash that bill.
