So where was all the traffic today?
I had half-expected queues of cars backing up out of the city as panic-motoring set in with the few flurries of snow covering the ground.
But it was like a school holiday, with presumably everyone heeding the advice of southern-biased radio and tv to not risk going out in the "horrendous" conditions.
All very sensible, I suppose, but a little disappointing for me on the bike anticipating cruising past lines of traffic jammed nose to tail!
Instead, I had to endure the oc-casional motor flying past whose roof hadn’t been swept of the snow, and I caught a faceful of icy flakes blowing off the tops.
And, not having checked my rear mudguard for being properly in place, I ended up with a damp rear end myself.
Still, once in the office, I had that lovely tingling sensation off gently warming through over a nice cup of tea.
