I may be a bit out of step here, I know (if you’ll excuse the pun)but isn’t Strictly Come Dancing utterly tedious and now being milked for all it's worth?
In a mindless piece of gogglebox watching last night, I found myself open-mouth at the cheesy, long-drawn-out spectacle of the decision-making process of kicking off the first contestant.
Could they have spun it out any more? God, I hope there isn’t anyone at the BBC working on that propostion!
I lost count of how many times Bruce Forsyth recapped on what the end result of the programme would be (one contestant wouldn’t be returning next week, for those of you who failed to pick up on it) and I may have missed some because I did the washing up mid-programme for some intellec-tual stimulation.
Suffice to say I won’t be switching on this gaudy, utterly cheesy spectacle again during any of long overblown 17 weeks of competition.
Washing up is far more interesting.
