Marsha Singh remains the MP for Bradford West as the veteran Labour man is voted in again.

Mr Singh thanked his campaign workers for their "tireless support" in getting him re-elected in a seat that was targeted by the Tories.

He has increased his majority. He says voters have rejected any campaigning on lines of creed, colour or religion. He dedicates his victory to his father, who passed away this last year.

Marsha Singh tells us: "It's gone against everything. I've doubled my majority in a national context where there have been swings against Labour.

"It's a phenomenal result and it's down to building a coalition of communities in Bradford willing to work together and it shows that Bradford isn't divided.

"I think Bradford West is now probably safe for ever. It's a clear message from the voters that we do not want a Tory MP here."
