Former Shipley MP Chris Leslie has been elected to the Nottingham East seat for Labour.

Mr Leslie, who was ousted from the Shipley seat by Conservative Philip Davies, returned to the life of an MP with a majority of 6,969 votes.

He beat the Liberal Democrat candidate into second place.
