BRADFORD Cathedral’s famous WW1 memorial bells will be re-dedicated at an event next month.
The church’s 12 bells have been restored and repaired thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The bells date back to 1922, and were created as memorials to those who fought and died in WWI.
On Tuesday June 12 there will be an event to re-dedicate the newly restored bells, and to launch an exhibition in the church looking at their history.
People will also get to meet the cathedral’s young Community Heritage Guides, and listen to the bells ringing out to mark the occasion.
The event runs from 4.30pm until 6.30pm.
The bells exhibition will be on display around the Cathedral until September.
