AN empty building on one of Bradford’s main shopping streets will go under the hammer at an auction.
Last used as a furniture store, five storey 46 Darley Street will have a £290,000 guide price when it is listed at the Pugh auction at Leeds United Football Club on June 5. The building had originally been listed to go to auction in April, but was withdrawn in the weeks before the auction.
The building has retail space on the ground floor and four upper floors that have been used for storage. Overall space in the building is 14,564 square feet and the listing says: “The upper floors are used as overspill storage space but have potential to be converted to residential accommodation, especially given the recent change in permitted development rights for conversion of offices to residential.”
Also at the auction is 26 Chapel Street in Little Germany, which has a guide price of £100,000. The office building has planning permission to be converted into three apartments.
