A LORRY has shed its load of chicken in a busy Bradford road tonight causing severe traffic problems.
Bradford police tweeted a photograph at around 6pm and the message: "HGV lorry spilt its load of chicken. Road closures in place around Bolton Lane/Queens Road, Bradford. No suspected foul (fowl) play."
A resident living nearby said the spillage occurred early this afternoon and he was concerned that the meat would attract vermin.
They were also concerned about the meat juices which were running down the road past their homes.
It was also starting to smell because it was going off.
At 8.30pm this evening the police were still guarding the road closures and had no idea when the spillage would be cleared away and the road cleaned.
