PLANS to open a new catering business in part of a former mill building have been approved by Bradford Council.
The scheme to convert Unit A of Whitehead Mill, on Young Street off Thornton Road, into a new kitchen catering business had been submitted by Attique Ur Rehman and was approved by Bradford Council this week.
The ground floor - the area subject to the planning application, is currently used as storage, with the upper floors used a gym.
A flue will be installed on the side of the building.
Planning officers said: “The site is located within an employment zone where uses of this nature are considered to be appropriate. The building is located where loading and unloading already take place and on-street parking is available. The proposed use will not have a great impact on the local highway network.”
