A CARE home for disabled people has scooped a £5,000 grant through the Tesco Bags of Help scheme.

As part of the initiative, every customer is given a token to post in the in-store voting unit to decide which project will be given the top grant.

Through a vote at Tesco’s Cleckheaton branch, the Kenmore Leonard Cheshire home, in Whitcliffe Road, Cleckheaton, was chosen as the May to June champion.

The money it has been awarded will go towards the renovation of an outdoor seating area, a new music system, as well as plants and patio furniture.

Pictured are Melanie Cropper, Jeanette Fullwood, Wendy Cox and Clare Finflay with Andrew Elsey receiving the cheque.

On September 2, the Leonard Cheshire garden will be officially re-dedicated.
