MEMBERS of Kirklees Faiths Forum have spoken about the bomb attacks which took place in Brussels on Tuesday, killing at least 31 people.
Members of the executive committee said: “We condemn unreservedly the murder of innocent people in Brussels, as in every part of the world. Those who use violence against innocent people of whatever background or nationality are acting in complete disregard of the peaceful teaching of all our faiths.
"We wish to express our support for the victims of violence carried out falsely in the name of religion, whoever and wherever they may be.
"We will be asking people of all faiths to join in prayer for all those affected by these and all other horrific attacks on innocent people."
The Kirklees Faiths Forum executive includes the Rt Revd Jonathan Gibbs, Bishop of Huddersfield; Mufti Mohammed Amin Pandor of the Anjuman E Zinatul Islam mosque, and Kiran Bali of the Hindu Society of Calderdale and Kirklees.
