Water Royd Lane, Mirfield, was temporarily closed while police dealt with the crash
AN ELDERLY man was freed from the wreckage of a car by firefighters after a crash involving two vehicles in Mirfield.
Fire crews from Mirfield and Cleckheaton were called to Water Royd Lane at 2.42pm today to free the pensioner.
The extent of his injuries are not yet known and he was taken by paramedics to hospital.
Police temporarily closed the road which has led to some bus services being re-routed.
