A MAN was followed then assaulted before being pushed into a glass doorway by two attackers in Birstall, police have said.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon in Market Place, Birstall, and police are now seeking witnesses.
One of the attackers is said to have injured the 21-year-old victim’s ear before both were disturbed by a witness and made off. Both attackers were white and aged in their early 20s.
PC Lucy Lindley said: “We are investigating this incident which appears to have been a nasty assault on a male by persons unknown to him, leaving him with facial injuries.
“The assault took place at a busy time of day and would most likely have been witnessed. I would ask anyone who has information to contact me at the Batley NPT on 101 .”
