POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a Vauxhall Zafira which has since been used in an offence of making off without paying at a petrol station in Birstall.
The black Zafira GSI turbo, registration FL04NRK, was stolen after the keys to the vehicle were taken in a burglary at a property in Beech Tree Mews, Batley, on Tuesday, November 25.
The vehicle has since been used in two make-off-without-payment offences in the Birstall and Morley areas.
PC Richard Shires, of the Kirklees Burglary Team, said: “The vehicle is still outstanding but has clearly been in use since the burglary. We would urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Zafira, or with any other information which could help our ongoing enquiries, to call the Kirklees Burglary Team on 101.”
