THE boss of a Cleckheaton company has received an award from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for raising more than £20,000.
Jon Ellis, who heads up medical equipment company Ferno UK, has completed four marathon bike rides over the last four years to raise the cash. Staff at the company have raised almost the same again by holding dress-down days, sales and recycling cans.
The 46-year-old, pictured receiving his award from Gary Saunders of sponsor SICL, said: “I am a great believer in giving something back to the emergency services.”
