A 79-YEAR-OLD man was pushed around when he was robbed at his home in Liversedge.

The victim's trousers were ripped during the ordeal - which saw two people enter his home in St Barnabas Road at about 11am yesterday and demand money.

His bag, some cash, and a bank book were stolen.

Detective Constable Andy Clayton, of Kirklees CID, said: "Thankfully the victim was not physically hurt but understandably this incident has left him distressed and anxious.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who has seen anyone in the St Barnabas Road area around this time who has been acting suspiciously. The suspects have left with the victim's bag which was a black canvas shoulder bag with red stripes and a zip on top. If anyone thinks they have seen anyone with this bag they are urged to get in touch.

"Anyone with information which could aid our investigation is asked to call Kirklees CID on 101."
