A SCHOOL is celebrating after being judged as outstanding by church school inspectors.

Whitechapel Church of England Primary School in Cleckheaton got top marks in a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report, following an inspection this month.

The Church of England’s National Society conducts its internal SIAMS inspections to evaluate a school’s distinctive Christian character, the impact of collective worship, the effectiveness of religious education and the effectiveness of leadership and management of the school as a church school.

The inspection of Whitechapel Primary judged the school to be outstanding in all four sections with no areas for development, other than those already identified by the school as a result of its self-evaluation.

Headteacher Michelle Bouabida said: “The school is very pleased with the outcome of the SIAMS inspection.

“The inspector was very thorough and was full of praise and positive comments, acknowledging the efforts of the school and its community. This is a fantastic result which reflects the hard work and commitment of everyone in creating a distinctive school ethos built on strong values. We are very proud.”

The school was judged to be good byschools inspectorate Ofsted earlier this year.
