A luxury car dealer has been warned to expect a jail sentence for a £500,000 fraud involving the selling of prestige cars with outstanding finance agreements on them.
Sean Lockyear, 47, of Ingthorpe Grange, West Marton, Skipton, pleaded guilty to 14 offences at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
The offences included ten charges of fraud by false representation, mainly involving the dishonest sale of Porsche cars, between March 2007 and August 2010.
Lockyear further admitted stealing sums of £67,000, £29,738, £34,000 and £34,249, between March, 2008 and August, 2010.
Brian Hurst, barrister for the Crown, said it was a large scale financial fraud of up to £500,000.
Sentence on Lockyear, of previous good character, was adjourned until May 18.
His bail was extended to that date on condition that he co-operates with the probation service in preparation of a pre-sentence report.
