Angry residents are continuing their fight against a Bracewell farmer’s plan to build a wind turbine near the A59.
Last week, the West Craven Area Committee deferred its decision on plans by Michael Ashby, of Yarlside Farm, to build a 10kw turbine on a 15m pole on a hillside next to the A59. Residents of Horton Lodge, a gated community located across the road, voiced their opposition.
Malcom Foster, of Horton Lodge, said: “The applicant had a wind turbine application approved last year, so why do they want another bite of the cherry? My opinion is that the applicant wants to move it further from their house.”
Residents say it would result in a loss of amenity, distract motorists and disturb residents.
The application will be debated by the council on Tuesday, February 28.
