6:49pm Friday 3rd February 2012 in Skipton & The Dales
Skipton Freemasons are throwing open the doors to their lodge and inviting the public to find out more about their organisation.
Craven Lodge No 810 is hosting an open evening on Wednesday, February 22, at the Masonic Hall, Sackville Street, Skipton, next door to the Plaza Cinema.
The event will include a tour of the building and various displays depicting the work of Freemasonry in the community.
W Bro Roger Newhouse said: “This evening is open to anyone interested in finding out more about our lodge and Freemasonry in general.
“Thanks to the author Dan Brown, the nation’s curiosity about Freemasons has been piqued.
“It will probably surprise many to learn that, after the National Lottery, our organisation is the largest contributor to charity.”
The evening starts at 7.30pm.
For free admission tickets, contact MrNewhouse on 01756 796164 or by email roger.newhouse@lineone.net. Please note, space is limited so tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
