A 34-YEAR-OLD man with mental health problems has been sentenced to a community order for an affray at the home of his former partner.
Liam Brennan kicked down the door at an address in Heather View, Skipton, at 10.45pm on November 20 last year.
He was originally charged with burgling a bottle of wine from the house but the Crown accepted his plea to the lesser offence of affray.
Brennan, of Lytham Gardens, Skipton, was binge drinking and not taking his medication at the time of the offence, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
The judge, Recorder Ian Harris, said it was "a disgraceful and terrifying incident" while Brennan was mentally ill.

He sentenced Brennan to a 12 month community order with a rehabilitation requirement for 20 days, assisted by the mental health team.
