SKIPTON Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the alleged theft of children’s clothing from the town's Next store.

The incident happened at around 11.50am on Monday, December 21 when an unknown man was captured on security cameras entering the store on Thanets Yard.

Staff contacted the police at noon after a man left the store without paying for several garments which he had placed in a bag. These included a younger boy’s grey knitted cardigan and grey waistcoat and white long-sleeved shirt set, plus a pack of grey and black jogging pants.

The man is described as white, aged 50 to 60, and thin, with what appears to be a grey moustache. He was wearing a dark-coloured woollen hat, a light brown 'teddyboy' style jacket with a dark collar, grey shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes or trainers with a white sole.
