THOUSANDS of people are expected to flood into Skipton for the next two weekends for the town’s Christmas Market and Yuletide Festival.

The event, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, will take place this Sunday and next Sunday, December 14, and will include fun and entertainment for all the family.

The High Street Market will be in full flow, together with additional craft, community and food stalls – and live entertainment (including the Granny Turismos, pictured) will feature across the whole of the town centre.

It will run from 10am to 4pm on both Sundays – and will round off with a torchlight procession along the High Street to Holy Trinity Church for a traditional carol service in the church grounds.
