SKIPTON Charities Gala Committee has handed £4,000, the proceeds of the 2014 event, to a record 31 organisations and charities.
Beneficiaries were: Bradford and Airedale Cancer Support, Skipton Community First Responder, Skipton Young Carers Group, Craven Volunteer Centre, Skipton Community Hub, Brooklands School, Skipton, Carleton Community Umbrella, Carers Resource, Community Worker Trinity Church, SELFA, HomeStart Craven, Skipton Brass Band, Skipton Fairtrade Initiative, Stepping Stones, Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, Skipton Swimming Club, Friends of Aireville Park, Skipton Ladies Choir, Skipton Town Junior Football Club, 5th Skipton Scout Group, Christ Church Primary School PTA, Embsay with Eastby Pre-School Playgroup, Parish Church Primary School PTA, Skipton Cricket Club, Embsay Junior Football Club, Little Feet Creche, Skipton Athletics, Junior Firefighters Scheme, Skipton Junior Rugby Club, Trinity Methodist Church and Skipton Majorettes.
Next year’s Skipton Charities Gala takes place on Saturday, June 13.
