Developers behind proposals to build a Sainsbury’s and business park say they are taking stock after having their plans refused.
The Wyvern Park development, on land between Waltonwrays Cemetery and Sandylands Sports Centre, Skipton, was refused permission by Craven District Council on several grounds last month including the impact on the town’s High Street.
Councillors, while supportive of the proposed industrial units, also refused the scheme proposed by Henry Boot Developments because of its impact on Waltonwrays Cemetery.
Henry Boot, which owns the land, will now be considering whether to submit a revised application, to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate, or to abandon the scheme.
A spokesman said: “We will now take time to consider our options.”
