Man escapes injury following rush hour drama in Pudsey

An elderly man escaped injury when his car flipped onto its roof after smashing into a speed camera during earlier today.

The man was driving a Citroen Xantia car along Stanningley Road, Pudsey, when the accident happened at 6.15am.

Two crews from Stanningley fire station - about 100 yards from the scene of the crash - went to help the man but he managed to get himself out of the overturned car with the help of paramedics.
