Two masked men fled empty-handed after they attempted to rob a bank, police have revealed.
The robbers, who were believed to be armed, were unable to enter the Santander branch in Town Street, Horsforth, yesterday, despite repeatedly trying to force the main door by hand.
The incident happened at about 11.10am and the robbers left in a black car, believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a third man.
No-one bank customers or members of staff were injured in the incident.
Deectives at North West Leeds CID are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Constable Lee Swift via 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
