A COUNTY-wide drawing competition attracting more than 500 entries has been won by a Yeadon school girl.
Eleven-year-old Isabelle Whitaker, a year six pupil at Yeadon Westfield Junior School, took top prize in a ‘draw your dream tree house’ competition organised by estate agent Manning Stainton.
Isabelle’s winning entry featured a tree house at the top of an apple tree, complete with full-length slide into a swimming pool and colourful balloons fluttering from the chimney pot. It also included a Manning Stainton sold board.
Isabelle won an iPad Air, while the school received a cheque for £500.
The money will be added to funds currently being raised to convert the former caretaker’s bungalow into extra teaching space.
The school’s head teacher, Lisa Piotrowicz, said: “We are all incredibly proud of Isabelle.”
