A WEEKEND of events in Bradford district is headlined by the conclusion of the bumper Saltaire Festival.

The festival ends on Sunday - but there are a variety of entertaining things to keep people busy until then.

Attractions include markets, live music, heritage and community events, exhibitions and walks.

There is a lively and colourful continental market on Exhibition Road, a hand-made alternative market at Caroline Street Car Park, a food and drink market in Roberts Park, and a charity stall market at Saltaire United Reformed Church.

There is a plethora of live music scattered at venues across the village tonight, tomorrow and Sunday, and comedy at the 1853 Gallery at Salts Mill tomorrow.

There will be six live music acts at Roberts Park tomorrow and five on Sunday, all free to watch and listen.

Also, Shipley fire station will hold an open day tomorrow, from 10am.

Saltaire’s Victoria Hall will host a Vintage Home and Fashion Fair tomorrow and Sunday, from 9.30am to 4pm.

There will be more than 40 stalls for people to check out, featuring genuine vintage fashion such as 1940s tea dresses, 1950s prom gowns, jewellery, accessories, furniture, homewares, vintage vinyl, toys, books, kitchen items, and collectables, ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s.

Elsewhere in the district, Otley Folk Festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The ‘silver jubilee’ event runs from today until Sunday at venues across the town. The line-up includes Du Temps Antan, The Churchfitters, Lucy Ward and Vin Garbutt.

There will also be a reunion of many of the original acts who performed at the inaugural Otley Folk Festival in 1991, including Stanley Accrington, Robin Garside, Dave Vermond, Last Orders, and Tanglefoot.

It is in aid of Sue Ryder which runs Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope. There are routes suitable for all standards of mountain bike and cyclo-cross riders.
