WINTER flights from Leeds Bradford to Malaga have been announced by Monarch.

The airline will operate the flights twice a week as part of its winter schedule for 2016/17.

Marjan Schoeke, Head of Network Development said: "We continuously refine and develop our network strategy looking closely at where and at what time our customers want to fly. We are pleased to be able to introduce routes that Monarch will be flying as winter destinations for the first time."

Tony Hallwood Leeds Bradford Airport's Aviation Development Director said: "Leeds Bradford welcomes the arrival of a new winter Monarch route serving the Costa Del Sol. This route will now operate year round providing easy access for Yorkshire overseas home owners and holidaymakers alike. Malaga becomes Monarch's 5th winter destination to be flown from Leeds Bradford alongside Alicante, Faro, Tenerife and Barcelona."
