A COMPANY'S work with a charity that helps homeless people rebuild their lives has been praised by an MP.

Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew visited recruitment firm, Corecom Consulting which has a partnership with Emmaus Leeds, a charity offering accommodation and meaningful work to formerly homeless people.

The Leeds-based company works with Emmaus Leeds offering IT training sessions and CV writing workshops as well as volunteering in the charity's shop on St. Mary’s Street in the city.

Mr Andrew said: "It was inspiring to learn of the partnership between Corecom Consulting and Emmaus Leeds. It’s clearly of great value to Emmaus in helping the people they support get the skills that they need to help improve their life chances."

Managing Director Jonathan Sanderson, who lives in Horsforth, said: "It’s great to see that our work with Emmaus has been recognised by the wider community. Being able to use my expertise to make a difference to the lives of companions at Emmaus is such a rich and rewarding venture for both myself and all of the employees at Corecom Consulting. It’s a pleasure to be working with Emmaus and I’m thoroughly looking forward to be helping out at the charity in the near future."

Company staff will visit Emmaus Leeds on Friday, March 4 to volunteer in the shop, helping with clothes sorting, furniture collections, painting and upholstering. Plans have also been made for future CV writing workshops and IT taster sessions.
