A TEENAGER sang with the stars at a celebrity studded charity gala in London.

Sixteen-year-old Bethany Hare, of Horsforth, was on the bill alongside Ronan Keating, Anastacia, Collette Cooper, Stooshe, and Kym Mazelle at the Global Gift Gala which raises funds for children and women around the world.

Bethany, who has raised tens of thousands of pounds to help terminally ill children, received a certificate from Prime Minister David Cameron thanking her for her efforts.

And she performed in front of an audience which included Victoria and David Beckham, Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Laura Pradelska, Oliver Cheshire, Ken Paves, Simon Cowell, and Laetitia Casta.

The event, organised by actress Eva Longoria, was raising money for the Diana Awards's Anti-Bullying and Mentoring Programmes.

The charity was set up in memory of Princess Diana and today has the support of her sons The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Bethany is a Diana Award holder - receiving the award for her own work through the children's charity Bethany's Smile which she set up five years ago.

And when she took to the red carpet with the singer Sinitta on Monday she was presented with a certificate and letter from Mr Cameron saying "on behalf of the whole country I hope that this Points of Light Award will be a small way of saying thank you."

Afterwards the schoolgirl sang a cover version of Nina Simone's hit I Wish I Knew How it would Feel to be Free to a standing ovation from the celebrity-studded audience who each had paid £2800 for a ticket to attend the Global Gift Gala at The Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane.

Bethany, who goes to Horsforth School, said: "I cannot believe I was on the same bill as Ronan Keeting and on the same stage as other such famous singers. I shall remember tonight forever."
