THE former home of Otley’s One Stop Centre could be back in use again soon.

The Leeds City Council-run facility closed in 2012, when all of its advice services were moved to Otley Library.

Since then the Boroughgate property has stood empty, although Otley Museum has expressed interest in using it for its new base.

Now the city council, which owns the building, says offers have been considered and a buyer found.

The authority has not named the new owner yet as the deal is “still in the very early days”.

But in a message to Otley Chamber of Trade it confirmed that it would “bring about a re-use and refurbishment of the property in accordance with planning and Listed Building consent”.
